Pamela Garrett began her educational career as a 2nd grade classroom teacher. She went on to teach 1st grade for a number of years. The past four years she has been working as a Gifted and Talented Teacher for Harlingen C.I.S.D. Pamela has presented at numerous conferences emphasizing the importance of technology integration in the classroom. She holds a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Texas Pan American, and several certifications that span from Generalist EC-4, Generalist EC-6, ENG LA & Read 4-8, along with a Master’s degree in Education Administration from Lamar University. She is currently the coach for three First Lego League JR. Robotic teams and one First Lego League team. She is a firm believer that focus and dedication are the foundation pieces to a good education, and this is why she also coaches a Chess team.
